In related news, season 6 will also serve up a new love interest for Sookie. True Blood Adds English Hunk to Season 6 Cast as Sookie’s New Love Interest

Move over, Bill. And Eric. And Alcide. There’s a new man in Sookie’s life — and he’s putting down stakes in Bon Temps. True Blood has tapped English actor Rob Kazinsky (EastEnders) to join the Season 6 cast as a series regular, TVLine has learned. True Blood EP Alan Ball Drops First Season 6 Clues Kazinsky — whose biggest TV credit stateside was an arc as a doctor on Brothers & Sisters — will play Ben, a highly charismatic faerie who takes a liking to Sookie (and vice-versa) and helps Sookie and Jason delve deeper into the mystery of their parents’ murders. This marks True Blood‘s second major Season 6 hire. As TVLine reported last month, acting vet Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner) has also come on board in the series regular role of Macklyn, a mysterious and sinister figure with deep ties to Sookie and Jason.

5X03 SPOILER

The True Blood spoilers for this week’s episode, from previous reports, is that this one will involve three couples having sex for the first time. It’s unknown which three True Blood couples will have sex , but based on where True Blood season 5 has been going, so far, we’d guess a flashback of Pam and Eric’s first time together will make them one of the couples. Another True Blood spoiler guess, for couples having sex this week, would be  for Alcide and Sookie to have sex, but it seems too early in the season for that couple to begin a relationship . And the last couple will probably be a complete shock to viewers.

TODD LOWE (TERRY) - SEASON 5 INTERVIEW AND SPOILERS

TheInsider.com: What excited you about Terry getting such a sizable storyline this season?

Todd Lowe: I’ve been on the periphery of the show up until now, as a comic button, but I’ve gotten some heavier more dramatic stuff to play this year. It’s been great.

Insider.com: What are you excited for fans to learn about Terry this year?

Todd: Fans are going to be rewarded because we do go back and see why Terry has been so odd in seasons one through four. We see the cause of that. We know this from the premiere, fire is going to play an important part in Terry’s storyline and we’re going to see the cause of that. We’re going to see why fire is so integral.

Insider.com: I know things can change on a dime in the True Blood writer’s room, so is the reason for Terry’s odd behavior that same as it was in season one?

Todd: I think it’s been kind of an organic process. I don’t know if this was always Alan’s master plan, but he watches the show too and steers it towards where he would like to see it go.

Insider.com: Will we see more of Mikey, Terry and Arlene’s ghost-loving son?

Todd: Mikey has been asleep upstairs for most of the season. And he stays upstairs for most of the season.

Insider.com: Well, you lose a son and gain an adversary. Talk a little bit about the pros of working with Scott Foley.

Todd: He brings a lot of TV experience to the table and it’s been nice to play with somebody who has that kind of gravitas. I know he’s got a lot of fans, and they are not going to be disappointed. From a character standpoint, it’s been nice to see somebody share Terry’s military past and be in this problem with him.

Insider.com: The arrival of Scott’s character Patrick has led to some tension in Terry’s marriage. Will that continue?

Todd: Yes, the marriage is going to be tested in a big way. I don’t want to stray too far from having Carrie Preston as a scene partner because I think we have great chemistry and it’s one of those things where our eccentricities mesh well together. I hope that our marriage stays in tact, but I can’t promise that it will.

Insider.com: Fans often forget that many of the actors have never actually worked together on this show. Which co-star would you most like to share a scene with that you haven’t yet?

Todd: I don’t know how Terry and Pam would mix, but I think there’s a lot of great area there. I think as scary as she is, Terry could deal with her – but I would love to work with Kristin [Bauer van Straten] because we haven’t gotten to yet.

Insider.com: Looking at season five as a whole, what are you excited for fans to see?

Todd: This season, viewers who have stuck with us and know the mythology are going to be rewarded. We go deeper into the supporting characters, while still maintaining the dynamic between Sookie and her suitors. I think it’s more streamlined than it has been in seasons passed, and those hardcore fans are going to be rewarded with more information about the supporting characters.

In its fifth season — which happens to coincide with a U.S. presidential campaign — True Blood, returning Sunday (9 p.m. ET/PT), explores political maneuverings in the vampire realm between The Authority, a mainstream group that seeks accommodation with humans, and the Sanguinistas, fundamentalists who believe mortals are simply food for their vampire superiors.

Christopher Meloni, known for his long-running role on Law & Order: SVU, plays Roman, the powerful, mesmerizing and corporate-looking Guardian of The Authority. “He’s a vampire wanting to change the system, fighting against what he sees as fanatics. He’s a man interested in co-existence. I think he’s a forward-thinking guy,” says Meloni, “this supreme example of a man of authority, and yet there are certain moments of him that are surprisingly childish.”

“Russell is a pretty powerful vampire. He really represents chaos and anarchy. That is the one thing that my character just disdains, both personally and professionally,” Meloni says.

For Skarsgard and Meloni, the union of Eric and Bill represents a twist in the characters’ relationship. They must work together or die the vampire’s True Death.
